Pune : After a long gap the Bollywood might witness daughter-in-law Aishwarya sharing screen with father-in-law Big-B for a periodical movie from Mani Ratnam.
There’s a huge budgeted flick coming up from Mani Ratnam on which further updates will arise on Pongal this January. While reports from DNA say that Aishwarya is already in for the project, Amitabh Bachchan is yet to decide.
The reported quoted sources saying, “It’s a big-budget historical drama, which is being planned on the lines of the Baahubali franchise. It’s likely to be a bilingual project and star several other big names from the South Indian film industry. There will be an ensemble cast.
The actors have already been asked to give bulk dates and commit a few years to this film, as it will be made in several parts. The book has five volumes, but the makers are planning to conceptualise it as three instalments on screen”.
The project is going to be a franchise made from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book, Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni), which talks about Rajaraja Chola I who dates back in 10th and 11th century.
Though, Aishwarya and Abhishek were supposed to be working on their couple comeback film Gulab Jamun, there’s no update regarding that. Some reports say that the movie might’ve been on termination, makers and cast choose to still stay silent on it.
